My Story

I am a retired art teacher and current artist. I hold a BFA from the university of Nebraska Lincoln, where I specialized  in ceramics. I also paint landscapes. Retirement has allowed me to make art full time.

Two things from my youth are again part of my daily life, walking and making art.

I have included two pieces of my art on this page, that typify my recent work. Glazes are the focus of my ceramics and landscapes are the focus of my painting. 

I test many glazes on small pots that fit in my pockets, as I walk, I leave them on benches and rocks where I rest.  I intend to share my larger works here. I will also post pictures of my food for my friends who know that I like to cook my meals.
